Description
The Tyvek® Classic Xpert coverall provides the wearer with excellent protection against liquids thanks to its new patent-pending seam technology. DuPont has redefined the definition of protection in every detail so that the Tyvek® Classic Xpert coverall can pass the new stringent Type 6 test (EN ISO 17491-4, Method A:2008). Tyvek® Classic Xpert also exhibits a higher level of protection in the more stringent Type 4 full-body Coverall test (spray test, EN ISO 17491-4, Method B). Indeed, it has significantly less fluid leakage than overalls with conventional seams, giving the wearer a greater sense of security. In addition, the new Tyvek® Classic Xpert fabric is certified as providing protection against infectious substances (EN 14126) and also against the permeation of certain chemicals in the form of aqueous solutions at low concentrations.
Additional protection against particles
DuPont™ Tyvek® is a non-woven fabric that is made from extremely fine continuous filaments of high-density polyethylene and provides exceptional strength and flexibility. In addition, Tyvek® Classic Xpert has six times more effective protection against particulate matter than Tyvek® Classic and ten times more effective protection than microporous films (1). It sets a new standard for particle protection, with only 0.8% of particles penetrating the entire garment, compared to 5% for Tyvek® Classic and 8% for a typical microporous film. The new Coverall also achieves Class 2 protection against radioactive particles (3).
Innovative design, exceptional comfort and superior durability
The Tyvek® Classic Xpert protective coverall features a completely redesigned design that provides the user with an increased level of protection. This includes a newly designed hood that conforms perfectly to the contours of the face and neck, reducing the risk of exposure, and a longer sleeve design that ensures they stay in place even when working with your arms above your head. These design improvements mean that uncomfortable thumb loops are no longer needed, allowing for a higher level of comfort and flexibility. In practical validation tests, users often report that the new garment design is extremely ergonomic because it provides greater freedom of movement.
Tyvek® Classic Xpert features an elastic waistband (instead of a sewn-in elastic waistband), reducing the total number of seams and achieving greater strength and reducing the possibility of internal leakage. The Coverall is strong, robust and abrasion-resistant, with a double-sided anti-static treatment, silicone-free and exceptionally low friction. During its development, DuPont listened to the needs of its customers. The Tyvek® Classic Xpert is therefore equipped with a larger zipper pull, which makes it easier for the user to fasten and unfasten when working in gloves. The zip with safety lock also ensures that the coveralls cannot unzip spontaneously during work. Tyvek® Xpert maximises breathability and user comfort thanks to its permeability to air and water vapour, while ensuring excellent protection.
