Production of this mask was discontinued in 2013. It is replaced by a new type - mask CM-6.
The CM-5D protective mask, together with a suitable filter or respirator, protects the face and respiratory organs from the effects of toxic gases, vapors and aerosols, biological contaminants and radioactive dust resulting from a chemical weapon explosion or accidents involving nuclear materials. Its design ensures perfect protection against the above mentioned pollutants during deployment, regardless of weather conditions.
Basic features
It is characterized by a split large panoramic lens, which allows the fitting of a dioptric insert while ensuring good spatial orientation and high wearing comfort. The sealing cuff improves the tightness during use. The CM-5D protective mask is designed for protection in industry, agriculture, fire brigades, civil defence units, etc. The kit provides reliable protection in the temperature range -30°C to 50°C.
The mask allows the use of a goggle insert that is designed for users with visual impairments. The spectacle insert is fixed by inserting it into the rubber post on the inside of the visor. There are 4 vertical positions of the goggle insert placement according to the size of the face.
Variants
A modified type of mask, CM-5D, is supplemented with a device for fluid intake. This allows safe drinking with the mask on, which is fitted with a special stopper with a valve.
