Classification and parameters of the OF-02 CBRN combined filter type are determined according to the standards EN 143, EN 14387+A1, EN 12941/A2 and EN 12942/A2. P

GENERAL INFORMATION

The filter meets the requirements of the standards:

  • EN 143:2001, Amendment A1:2006 Respiratory protective devices. Particulate filters.
  • EN 14387:2004, + A1:2008 Respiratory protective devices. Anti-gas and combined filters.
  • EN 12941:1999,Amendment A1:2004, Amendment A2:2009 Respiratory protective devices. Filtration devices with auxiliary ventilation attached to the helmet or hood.
  • EN 12942:1999, Amendment A1:2003, Amendment A2:2009 Respiratory protective devices. Filtration means with auxiliary ventilation attached to the mask, half-mask.

BASIC INFORMATION

Combined filter type A2B2E2K2SXP3 D R according to ČSN EN 14387+A1 in combination with a suitable mask serves to protect the user's respiratory organs against solvents, gases and organic vapours with boiling points higher than 65 oC, against inorganic gases and vapours, against sulphur dioxide, hydrogen chloride and other acid gases, against ammonia and organic amines, against phosgene. The P3 R filter section removes harmful solid and liquid particles, bio-solid and liquid aerosols, radioactive aerosols, dust, bacteria and viruses from the passing air.

The filter does not protect against carbon monoxide (CO), nitric oxide (NO), nitrous oxide (N2O) and carbon dioxide (CO2) !

The filter must not be used in explosive atmospheres.

The OF-02 CBRN filter has a threaded connection with Rd 40x1/7" thread according to EN 148-1. The filter packaging is made of plastic and ensures long-term durability and shelf life.

The filter has been tested and approved by the Occupational Safety Research Institute, v.v.i. Notified entity 1024, Jeruzalemská 1283/9, 110 00 Prague 1.

PRINCIPLES FOR USING THE FILTER

  • 1. Store the filter in a dry ventilated room, in the original packaging intact and use within the specified time, see point 10.
  • 2. The oxygen concentration in the ambient atmosphere must be at least 17% vol.
  • 3. Pay attention to the selection of the appropriate filter type and its thread. After opening the protective cover, it is necessary to check: - the integrity of the lower and upper plugs of the filter, whether the thread marking corresponds to the thread on the mask to which it is to be connected"
  • 4. Before using a filter for a filter aid with auxiliary ventilation attached to a helmet, hood, half mask or mask, remove both caps - plugs on the filter. Screw the filter onto the filter-ventilation unit.
  • 5. Before using the filter with the mask, remove both caps - plugs on the filter. Screw the filter into the mask. Check the tightness of the threaded connection by plugging the filter inlet hole with your hands. When inhaling, there must be no suction on the mask.
  • 6. The user should know the type of pollutant and its concentration. The duration of use cannot be determined in advance due to a number of factors that affect it. These include, in particular, the type and concentration of pollutants, humidity, temperature, flow and the user's lung ventilation (work intensity). A symptom of the need to change the filter is an increase in breathing resistance. The filter should be changed immediately if the user detects a change in air quality by smelling.
  • 7. The odourless gas filter must be replaced after each use.
  • 8. The filter can be used in a temperature range of - 30 ̊C to + 70 ̊C. This temperature range is used in conditioning, it means that the filter can withstand these temperatures and still work.
  • 9. For reusability against particles, reseal the filter inlet and outlet with plugs to prevent contamination or pollution of the surrounding area. Then clean the filter thoroughly, put it in its original packaging and store it in a safe place.
  • 10. The filter requires no maintenance. The filter must be protected from mechanical damage
  • 11. The marking on the filter label indicates by means of symbols - pictograms the range of storage conditions, i.e. relative humidity 0-95 % RH, temperatures from -10 ̊C to + 50 ̊C and the end of the warranty period (year and month when the warranty on the filter guaranteed by the manufacturer expires). Example : 2019 - 12
  • 12. The filters must be stored under the prescribed conditions, they must not be stored with substances that would damage its packaging and subsequently the filter body.
  • 13. Neither the filter nor its contents may be used for any other purpose.

GUARANTEE

The manufacturer guarantees the full functional characteristics of the filter in intact packaging and under storage conditions. At
improper storage may reduce the filter's retention properties or cause irreversible damage.

AREAS OF APPLICATION

Army units, police, special rescue teams, fire brigades, for most industrial applications, chemical, petrochemical, food, electronic, film and pharmaceutical industries, foundries, paint shops, hospitals, laboratories and agriculture.

WASTE MANAGEMENT - UNUSED FILTER

Instructions for waste management during the life cycle of the OF-02 CBRN protective filter.

An unused protective filter that has reached the end of its useful life must be disposed of in accordance with the "guidelines" for waste management set out in the legislation and regulations of the country concerned. The filter must be handed over to an authorised waste collection and disposal company. The company must be notified by the user of the filter composition and the content of activated carbon with heavy metals.

WASTE MANAGEMENT - USED FILTER

Instructions for waste management during the life cycle of the OF-02 CBRN protective filter.

ATTENTION! HAZARDOUS WASTE !!! The used protective filter must be disposed of in accordance with the "guidelines" for the management of hazardous and toxic waste as laid down by the legislation and regulations of the country concerned. The used protective filter cannot be regenerated in any way. The filter must be handed over for disposal to an authorised company that collects and disposes of hazardous and toxic waste. In particular, the user must provide the following basic information to the authorised company for the disposal of the protective filter:

  • - draw attention to the composition of the filter and to the content of activated carbon with heavy metals
  • - specify contamination of the filter with radioactive and toxic gases, vapours, aerosols, as well as biological, radioactive liquid particles, aerosols, dusts, viruses, bacteria found in the contaminated environment
  • - specify the concentration and time for which the filter was deployed in the contaminated environment
