Self-damping welding hood CA-20 based on the Balder BH3 Grand hood:

Using the hood with the GS cassette (internal control) and having to remove the hood to change the settings is of course possible.

The CleanAir Pressure FlowControl system ensures a constant external supply of clean air to the hood while minimizing the size and weight of the equipment carried by the welder. This enables work even in places where the size of the filter-ventilation unit might be a problem or where pollutants or protective gases are concentrated (e.g. CO2) released during welding to such an extent that filtration may not be sufficient to provide a breathable atmosphere at certain times-typically confined spaces below ambient level, partially enclosed structures, etc.

The pressurised air treatment plant removes particulate matter and aerosols (e.g. oil mist from the compressor), while the activated carbon filter cartridge captures unpleasant odours (e.g. from the exhaust gases when using a compressor with an internal combustion engine or aggregate). It is possible to connect two workers to one treatment plant via quick couplers. Distribution to the workers is via a high-pressure hose in twisted or straight version, variable length according to the needs and possibilities of the workplace.

A pressure relief valve and flow regulator carried by the welder allows the flow rate to be set at such a level (170-400 l/min) that the eyes and face are virtually isolated from the surrounding atmosphere.

On the basis of this kit , it is also possible to create a kit for use in a non-breathable atmosphere after consultation.

The set includes:

Welding hood CA-20 with cassette Grand V6-8/9-13 GDS ADC plus (control outside the hood) and flexi hood; pressure air treatment unit with possibility of connection of 2 workers; reducing valve with flow control and belt; flow indicator; hose for connection of hood and control unit.
